Step into the spotlight and feel the fantasy—Monday Night Mania is here to bring the vibrant pulse of ballroom culture to the heart of Las Vegas. Rooted in resilience, creativity, and unapologetic self-expression, this monthly mini ball series honors the history and HERstory of the LGBTQIA+ communities who built ballroom into the global force it is today.
Ballroom emerged in the early 20th century and flourished throughout the 1970s and ’80s in Black and Latinx queer communities. It became a sanctuary—an underground world where chosen families known as houses competed in categories celebrating fashion, performance, realness, and freedom. What began as a radical act of visibility has grown into an international movement shaping music, fashion, language, and culture.
